Court date reminders

A missed court date turns a manageable case into a warrant and a new charge. We will text you before every hearing so that does not happen.

When we text

  1. One week before The date, the time and which courthouse — far enough ahead to arrange time off work, childcare or a ride.
  2. The day before The same details again. This is the one that catches people who wrote it down and then lost the paper.
  3. The morning of A short reminder with the time and the address, early enough to still make it.

Why it is worth doing

  • Missing a court date is treated as skipping bail. The court revokes the original bail and issues a bench warrant.
  • Failure to appear is a separate crime in Washington and carries jail time of its own, on top of whatever the original case brings.
  • Whoever signed for the bond becomes liable for the full amount, plus the cost of finding the person and returning them to custody.
  • Almost all of it is avoidable, and almost every missed date we see is somebody who simply lost track of the day.

How to switch it on

Ask any agent — when the bond is written, or any time afterwards. There is no form to fill in and no account to create. We confirm the number with you on the call and it starts from the next hearing.

  • The name of the person the bond was written for.
  • The court date, the time, and which court.
  • The mobile number the reminders should go to.
  • Whether that number belongs to the client, the signer, or both.

Free, and it does not change anything else about your bond.

This is not a substitute for the court

The court is the authority on when you have to appear, and the obligation to turn up is yours whether or not a reminder arrives. Phones get lost, numbers change, messages fail. Treat ours as a second pair of eyes on the date rather than the only one — and if you are ever unsure when you are due, call us and we will look it up.
